Nico Scholly, Below Deck Star, Mourns Death of Brother ·

Below Deck star Nico Scholly revealed on social media on Sunday that his younger brother has tragically and suddenly passed away.

Tristen Scholly was just 21 years young.

Nico shared several Instagram posts dedicated to his brother and took to Twitter to mourn the kind of devastating loss we can’t imagine.

“My best friend. My other half … My favorite little s–t … I hated you quiet often but loved the hell out of u no matter what,” Nico wrote.

“My heart is completely broken. This strong an amazing young man will be donating his heart, lungs, and organs to save people’s lives."

"I’m going to miss you so much Tristen."

Summing up the obvious pain, as well as anyone could, he added that Tristen is "too young to say goodbye so I’ll see u again brother.”

Nico Scholly, who serves as a deck hand on the surprise hit Bravo reality show, did not reveal Tristen’s cause of death at this juncture.

“My family and I are devastated,” Nico said in a statement to Bravo. “We ask that our privacy be respected at this tragic and very difficult time.”

“My younger brother of 21 is now an angel. So please pray for my family #chicago #belowdeck #familycomesfirst,” the Chicagoan also tweeted.

“My heart is hurting today … I feel like I’m dreaming. I can’t believe this … I’ve never felt this pain before," he went on, grieving publicly.

"I never understood the term broken-hearted til now."

"I just want to wake up," Scholly lamented.

Nico also thanked fans for donations to a GoFundMe account giving to charity in his honor, and tweeted a photo of Tristen in the hospital.

The image of him in the hospital with breathing tubes and his head bandaged tells you a lot, even if he didn’t explain the medical situation.

Tristen will be “donating his eyes, lungs, liver, HEART, and other organs,” Nico revealed, proud that his now-deceased brother is a donor.

“He will save many lives,” the Scholly family shared.

“He will live on through other beautiful souls.”
