That happened just recently when bosses apologised after a horse named after a racial slur was allowed to run at Wolverhampton.

But pretty much all others are named tongue-in-cheek - no matter how risque.

Those to have actually raced under their questionable names include Big T**s, who never finished better than sixth from six races run in France in 2003.

There was also Slippery Dick, Finmental - who wasn't really noticed until another horse ran called Hesfinmentaltoo - and Wear The Fox Hat.

Fuchu, the son of All Too Hard, won at Kensington racecourse in Sydney in May 2019.

Horsey McHorseface won his first race. Hoof Hearted ran a couple of stinkers.

Gelding Noble Locks was a favourite among punters while Muff Diver tickled Irish racing fans in the 1970s.

Former Liverpool team-mates Robbie Fowler and Steve McManaman bought two racehorses.

They named them Some Horse and Another Horse.

You can imagine commentators rolling their eyes when they had to call the action as Another Horse came through to win on the line.

Other names to be given the OK by bosses include Little Knickers, Passing Wind, Foxy Fanny, Peony's Envy, Sofa Can Fast and Geespot.

But some were deemed too naughty.

These include the likes of Chit Hot, Harry Azzol, Hugh G Dildeaux and the brilliantly named Norfolk Enchants.

OliBeefHooked never got the opportunity to run under that name and neither did Willie Be Hardigan, Jack Schitt or Arfur Foulkesaycke.

Ben Derhover, Ben Timover and Betty Swallocks were all banned too.

Bosses decided not to allow the likes of Dick N Cider, Cunning Stunt or Dick Hertz to take to the track.

Curl One Off, Hugh Gass Kisser, Ivana Tinkle, Hugh G Rection, Major B Oner and Pee Nesenvy were also banned.
